Android Oreo 8.0 Features Benefits & Specifications

On 21 August 2017 Google has announced the launching of the final version of Android 8.0 Oreo which is smarter, faster and more powerful than ever. Android 8.0 Oreo is the latest version of the Android software by Google. The normal name of this version Android O but officially it is known as Android 8.0 Oreo. Google’s own Pixel and Nexus devices are going to be the first to get Android Oreo via the Android Open Source Project (AOSP). Google Posted the OTA (over-the-air) download links for Android 8.0 on its developer site which allows people to install Android 8.0 Oreo before their carrier pushes the update to their phones but to do this you need to have a certain level of technical knowledge and this comes with a series of warnings. The Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 will not be getting Android Oreo update as Google only supports older handsets for two years with software and these two were released in 2014. Google mentioned in its post that they are working with their partners and by the end of this year hardware makers including HMD Global (The Company who is making Nokia Phones), Huawei, General Mobiles, HTC, Kyocera, LG, Motorola, Samsung, and Sony are scheduled to launch or upgrade the device to Android 8.0 Oreo.

Here is some special feature of Android 8.0 Oreo.

Android Oreo

Picture-In-Picture Mode

In this feature Oreo allows users to use two apps together like if you are watching any video on YouTube and in the mean while you got an urgent message to reply or urgently you need to book a cab but you don’t want to close that video now with this feature you can continue with both the works.

Smart Text Selection

This feature includes a smart action that will depend on the type of text you have selected like select an URL and Android 8.0 Oreo will suggest operating it in chrome.

Battery Saver

Now Oreo will control your apps when they are on the non-functional mode in the background which means cutting off broadcasts, background service, and location updates. This will increase your battery life and give you an efficient long-lasting device.

Notification

A new feature called Notification channel is also there in which you will be able to customize your notification category and put your necessary app’s notification on top which you use frequently. You will also be able to silence the notifications which you don’t want and return them later

Sound Quality

It has ‘High-quality Bluetooth audio codecs’ to improve your wireless cans. Sony has apparently been a major partner for that infusion, it is also providing more important features enhancement and more than 250 bug fix to Oreo.

System Optimization

Android Oreo makes apps run faster and smoother. The search giant has made Changes in its runtime including new optimizations such as concurrent Compacting garbage collection, code locality and more.

New Emojis

Google has launched new sets of emojis which are more users friendly.

Autofill Support

Google has come up with this new Autofill APIs feature which allows user to select password and data storing apps to behave as their preferred autofill app. Now how this will be helpful for users? Because many people use password administrative apps to store their important data information which is sometime not all that safe.

Lenovo has launched its new smart phone Lenovo K8 Note in August 2017. Lenovo founded in Beijing in 1984. It entered the Android and Windows tablet market in 2011. Lenovo K8 Note is not a comprehensive product but it is the full fledged product that the company can ever come up with, in this price range. One of the impressive features of this phone is the dual-camera setup which is rare to find at this price range. If we talk about the design factor there is nothing new in the design. This phone doesn’t make much difference with many other smart phones available in the market. The only difference which you can find is its rear camera at the back which is in the capsule shape. The key on the left side which is found below the dual-SIM slot, allows you to play and pause music and you can also skip the tracks, you can also take the screenshot with it, you can open any app with this which you use often. Most of the manufacturers do not come up with such options. The Lenovo K8 Note has a metal body. The aluminum 6000 material gives you the luxurious feel and a soft touch. It has 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass which gives it a clean look. Size and the placement of the keys and buttons make them very convenient to use. Power and the volume button is very user-friendly. Phone size 154.5X75.9X8.5mm and round edge make it perfect to be fitted in one hand. It has all the standard Google apps such as Duo, Play Movie and Plays Music, it also has Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point. Lenovo K8 Note has a design which can slightly protect the phone from water but it should not be considered as a water resistant and the company has clearly mentioned that liquid damage will not be covered under the warranty. One thing which has to be pointed out is the phone gets warm very quickly.

5G Network – 5th Generation Mobile & Wireless Technology !

According to some sources, it is suggested that a new generation of 5G may be introduced in the early 2020s

What is 5G?
5G is a fifth-generation mobile network which is one step ahead in mobile technology. It will be on next telecommunication standers and will be more advanced from 4G/IMT-Advanced. 5G is the data which is going to be used in the future for our phones and tablets. It is very similar to the LTE (Long Term Evolution) standers which are working for the 4G system. Just have a look at the history of this new mobile generation. First 1G system (Introduced in 1982), a first 2G system (Introduced in 1992), first 3G systems (introduced in 2001) and first 4G system (Introduced in 2012). The number of companies is increasing for investing in the preparation for the new mobile wireless standard but there are eight criteria have been set to be qualified from the (GSMA) Group Special Mobile Association:
One to 10Gbps connection to endpoints in the field

One millisecond end to end round trip delay
1000X bandwidth per unit area
10 to 100X numbers of connected device
(Perception of) 100 percent coverage
(perception of) 99.999 percent availability
90 percent reduction in network energy usage
Up to ten-year battery life for low power, machine-type device.
Along with above 8 criteria 5G network also needs to have (Internet-connected device), as well as broadcast-like services and life line communication in times of natural disaster.

Difference between 5G and 4G
With 5G you can communicate so fast that it becomes almost real-time communication, putting mobile internet services on par with office services, on the other hand, 4G provides an additional speed boost to the growing business services such as mobile video conference and cloud computing. 4G also provides very cost-effective international calls on data calling services.
4G network mostly focused on the availability of raw bandwidth, while 5G mainly focus on providing worldwide connectivity to lay the ground for the fast and the flexible access to the internet user whether you are on a top of the building or down under a subway station.

Advantages and Disadvantages:
5G would be more effective, efficient and significantly faster than 4G providing higher productivity across all capable devices with a theoretical download speed 10,000 Mbps.

Along with all this superb facility, it will come with a big cost concern. All new mobile phones are manufactured with the 5G integration but this system will not support to old mobile phones hence people have to buy new phones else this facility is useless for them so it would be an expensive affair.

Technology is still under process and research on its viability is going on.

The current 4G mobile network has the potential to provide 100s of Mbps. While 5G provides multiple gigabits per second but the speed, this technology is claiming seems difficult to achieve (in future, it might be) because of the incompetent technological support in most parts of the world.

Mobile Companies who are working on the 5G system:
Samsung: Electronics giant Samsung has conducted the trial using the 5G base station and 5G mobile phone prototypes compliant with 5G technology. They have achieved the download speed of 1 Gbps over a 2Km distance at the microwave frequency of 28 GHz. the products showcased included consumer devices for fixed wireless access connectivity. Samsung also has expanded its tablet portfolio with Galaxy Tab S3 and Galaxy Book and outlined a series of measures to “enhance” product safety.

Nokia: The Company NOKIA has demonstrated 5G technology based prototypes showing peak data rate speed of over 30 Gbps. The technology will serve more than 1 million 5G phones in a single cell simultaneously.5G FIRST builds on our commercial 5G Nokia AirScale and AirFrame platforms to provide a versatile solution that spans the network.

5G Phones

XIAOMI and HTC One® are also manufacturing 5G mobile phones

What is GST ? Advantages & Disadvantages ! The Story in Layman Terms

GST – Goods & Services Taxes :-

Applicable from 1 july 2017 – Pros & Cons !
Finally, the government is launching GST on July-1st. It is going to change the entire scenario in terms of indirect taxes. This was a very long pending issue which is finally come to an action. GST is a single tax which will be implemented instead of many different types of indirect taxes. If you have a business you need to pay a certain type of taxes other than income tax like VAT, service tax, excise duty and customs duty all of these taxes are called indirect taxes and all of these including central and state government taxes will be replaced by GST. As the name suggested GST (Goods & Services Tax) this indirect tax will be applicable on all the goods and services.
Who should pay GST?
People with the turnover less than 20 lakh do not have to necessarily register for GST and for Northeast states this limit is 10 lakh. If you have already registered under VAT or any other taxes you have to roll over your registration to GST. If you are selling any goods through any website or providing any services then also GST is mandatory for you.
Advantages of GST:
It will replace 17-20 indirect taxes and simplify the taxpaying process

The entire Indian market will be unified market

The suppliers, manufacturers, wholesalers, and retailers are able to recover GST incurred on input cost as tax credits this will reduce the cost of doing business which means it will give the fairer price to the consumer.

GST will bring more transparency and it will make corruption free tax administration.

More business entity will come under the tax system thus widening the tax base. This may lead to better and more tax revenue collection.

GST is backed by the GSTN which is a fully integrated tax platform to deal with all the aspects of GST.

Companies which are under unrecognized sector will come under the tax regime.

In the GST system, when all the taxes are integrated, it would make possible the taxation burden to be split equally between manufacturing and services.

Disadvantages of GST
Small business in the manufacturing section will bear most of the brunt of GST implementation. Under the existing excise law business with 1.50 crores turnover have to pay excise duty but under GST this limit has been reduced to 20 lakh which will increase the tax burden for manufacturing SMEs.

According to some economist that GST in India would impact negatively on the real estate market. It would add up to 8% to the cost of new homes and reduce demand by 12%

The implementation date of GST is July-1st 2017 which is middle of the year and it is impossible to cross over from one tax structure to the other in just a day hence business will end up running both tax system in parallel which will create so many confusions.

Some retail products like garments and clothes currently have only 4% tax but after GST it will become more expensive.

GST requires a business to register in all states they are opening in. this will increase the burden of compliance.

The aviation industry would be affected services taxes on airfares currently range from six to nine percent but with GST it will increase up to fifteen percent.

What is Wannacry Ransomeware Attack ! Be Alert & Protect data

Today I will talk about an incident or rather I should say an attack which has badly affected not only the India but the entire world. Yes it is ‘WannaCry Ransomware’
Attack. This attack started on Friday 12th May 2017 and within a day it has infected 230,000 computers. It is a dangerous Trojan virus for Windows computer.
Now, What Is Trojan?
Trojan is a type of malware it is used by the cyber thieves and hackers trying to gain access to the user’s system. This virus once activated it can give the access to cyber criminals to spy on you and steal your sensitive data.
This action includes:
Deleting data
Blocking data
Modifying data
Copying data

How WannaCry Virus Attacks:
When WannaCry virus attacks in your computer encrypts all your data and locks all your files and folder and then It will ask you for a ransom money 5,000-6,000 to unlock all your data and to remove this virus from your computer, that is why it is called Ransomware and after 7 days without payment all the content will be deleted and you will lose all your data. In some cases, it has seen that a popup window appears and shows a message to make a payment to gain the access again but it is not sure that after paying that amount you will actually get the access or not. It is one of the largest ever cyber attack which has affected 104 countries all over the world.
Which System Is At Risk?
Windows 8
Windows XP
Windows Server 2003
Does Kill Switch helpful In WannaCry Ransomware Attack?
The kill switch can disable the wannacry function and it is even helpful in slowing down the spreading of the wannacry virus in your system. Although this kill switch process was accidentally found and somehow it saved many systems. It will not be able to save the affected devices but it can prevent the other system from damage.
What is Kill Switch?
Now if you don’t know what kill switch is? It is an emergency power off (EPO) system which is also known as emergency stop (e-stop). In this, you can safely shut down the system or device in an emergency situation. It is designed to abort the operation as quickly as possible.
How Do I Protect My Computer?
The first step which you need to take is always to keep your system updated frequently download new updates.
Always download and install latest version security anti virus
Never open any suspected links and folders in your email.
Always keep your system with auto data backup and regularly take backup of all your data so that in such condition you can always have the recovery
Do not visit unsafe and unreliable websites
You may get some email using some popular services name like PayPal or like so, which can be a cyber attack but you can find some significant difference between these fraud and genuine emails they might have a very minute difference with the original services or company name or format for an example if you got a fraud email it will be from PayePal instead of PayPal and you can easily prevent this attacks. You just need to be little more careful about all this.
Always disconnect your internet from your computer when you are not working on it.
WannaCry Ransomware Attack On Banks:
You won’t believe that India is amongst the most affected countries by this attack. Several banks in India were closed for the protection purpose against this crime however banks officially denied with this but they are not taking this threat lightly they all are on high alert.
Other Government Websites:
The governance department has closed and blocked several websites for the protection purpose as the risk is very high.

Wanna Cry

My Words On This:
I would recommend you to read more and more about this virus to stay updated because people who have more technical knowledge they can take the prevention immediately but people who are totally unaware of such things they might have to face big problems if their computer get affected with this virus because they neither can prevent it nor they know how to deal with it.

Paypal Vs Payoneer !! Which is Best for Indian Freelancers.

Paypal and Payoneer both are an online financial service provider that allow you to make & receive payments. If you are a blogger, freelancer or you have an online business and you have to make the overseas transaction then you have to avail these facilities. Now the debate is which is better Payoneer or Paypal.

Basic Difference:

  • Payoneer: Payoneer is a registered Member Service Provider of MasterCard Incorporated. Founded in 2005 and has it’s headquarter in New York City.

Signing up for Payoneer is totally free you just need to provide some information for verification once you finished this step you will be provided with your card which you will receive via email and now you are all set to go.

Paypal

Payoneer does not charge you anything on Payoneer to Payoneer transfer. Payoneer is one of the fastest ways to avail your earning. Payoneer has a very good conversion rates also. If you withdraw money from ATM and with Payoneer you can easily access your funds at any ATM at anytime anywhere. Payoneer provides you with MasterCard and as I have mentioned above that it facilitates you with easy ATM access worldwide it also provides you with MasterCard facility so that you can easily make online transaction or pay with internet websites and you don’t even need to worry about if you don’t have any local bank account you can still use this card anywhere. Payoneer provides facilities to affiliates and online sellers using platforms like Amazon or eBay to receive funds and people who have a vast business and need to send funds in mass level to the professionals which is the best part.

  • PayPal: It is an American worldwide online payment transaction company. Founded in 1989 and it’s headquarter is in San Jose, California and United State. Signing up for Paypal is also free and then you just need to do the verification process in which you need to add your debit or credit card to the account and then PayPal will make 2 small payments and charge to your card as per your selected method.

Paypal

Paypal charges you a certain percentage for every transaction you make. The currency conversion rate is also very high of Paypal. Paypal does not have any plastic card facility like Pioneer although you can attach your bank account to it so you cannot take out your money anywhere it is more a merchant facility and payment gateway method. Buying something online and paying for it with Paypal will not charge you anything only if currency conversion is not there.

  • Safety and Reliability:

One of the major concerns while making online and an international transaction is a safety. If you are using Payoneer service you have to be very careful while handling your account because Payoneer does not provide any refunds or dispute facility while Paypal have this facility If you get stuck in any fraud case or mistakes Paypal will open a dispute with the respective person and will also refund your money after deducting some fee. I have heard from many people that Paypal put your account on hold some time without any prior information and if it happens you won’t be able to use your account and your money gets stuck in your PayPal account. Later on, they will again ask you for verification and for that you need to submit some official documents and then you will be able to operate your account again and you will face these circumstances with Payoneer also but with Payoneer, it is very rare. So, in that case, Payoneer is more reliable.

  • Other Difference: Payoneer has the fastest service to local bank mostly within 24 hours, on the other hand, PayPal takes 5-7 days. Paypal is older than Payoneer so people have more trust in it despite of its so many cons. With Payoneer, you get a physical card (MasterCard) which makes your entire buying and selling process much easier. You can make payments for both online and offline while Paypal has some restricted places online and offline it has no money withdrawal facility.
